Our Team

Dr. Edward C Chen is a proud Vietnam veteran, an alumnus of Boston College and Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Chen has practiced optometry in Northbrook and Chicago for over 40 years with the utmost care and passion. He has made it his mission to ensure that all his patients see to the best of their ability by going above and beyond with quality EyeCare. He considers it a privilege to take care of your eyes. Dr Chen lives in Glenview with his wife, Aixa. They are the proud parents of Michael, Alexander and Katherine, a recent graduate of Illinois College of Optometry.

Dr. Katherine Chen received her Bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and earned her Doctorate Degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. As a fluent Spanish speaker, she can perform any of these exams for Spanish speaking patients. She enjoys bringing clear vision to patients of all ages, working to treat Dry Eye Syndrome, and educating patients on the importance of eye health.

Aixa, our optician extraordinaire, has been working with Dr. Edward Chen since opening the practice in 1982. Prior to that, she worked as an optical technician at multiple practices in Chicago. Aixa is responsible for helping all of our patients find unique frames to enhance their appearance, feel comfortable, and make patients feel confident in themselves!
